Hlegu Water Festival Evangelism Campaign, April, 2011

I would like to share some thing about our Water Festival Evangelism Campaign.

There are 9 small churches a long with orphanages.  We ourselves are preaching and teaching every day and night. 54 adult and children received baptism in the Holy Spirit and 14 adult received Jesus Christ as their Savior and LORD. 7 people were healed from their diseases consistently. Praise the LORD. One young teenager was
crying for a longtime after the Holy Spirit touched her, then we three Pastors are praying and blessing her with words of love and comfort. Because she was shouting and crying we couldn’t continue our service inside the church so we took out and pray behind the Church. She prayed in other tongue for sometime and also cry again and again.

However at the end we found out that her life was so bitter at home, her father is Rakhine people in the military service and mother is Karen. Her father drunk always and at the same time mother is always out of home. So when mother is not at home the three children are
being treated as an animal. No hope in her family. No peace but always beating and shouting at one another. So this young teenager is full of fear for her future, nothing is certain. She hated life as it is full of hell. Even this time for the water festival campaign she cheated her parents and came secretly.

When she saw Jesus, Jesus touched her heart and gave love and peace. Because she can’t bear that much love and she never receive love from parents, she cried with all her strength. She also prophesied for her father that “my father is going to expose bomb while in the battle field and lost his left leg, at that moment God will touch with His Holy love and he will be changed”.   So she gives thanks to Jesus for how much His meant to her and will mean to her family. She is 13 years old.

There are many other young people are prophesying and seeing Jesus in their prayer time. Ms.Niangsen who is one of our orphans, also crying for a long time and when I asked her how’s your time with the LORD? She said “I got the peace of God, a father-like love”.
Let’s keep in touch, hearing from you is always great encouragement.

Grace and Peace
